Marking Patients As Inactive On Ocumail

🔍 What does “inactive” mean?

Marking a patient as inactive removes them from recalls and communications without deleting their data. They’ll remain in your system, just quietly in the background.

📢 Why use this instead of deleting?

Permanent deletion is discouraged as it removes all historical data. Inactivating keeps your records safe and your contact list clean.

🧹 How to mark a patient inactive

  1. Click on the Patients tab

  1. Switch the off the Active switch that is linked to the inactive patient

That’s it, they’re now inactive until you decide to reactivate them.
