Utilising Overdue Consults


🔍 What is the Overdue Consults Breakdown?

The Overdue Consults Breakdown is a detailed list within Ocumail showing which patients haven’t visited your practice in a while. It highlights groups based on how long it’s been since their last consult such as over 2 years and includes an estimated revenue opportunity tied to these lapsed visits.


📢 Why does this matter?

Lapsed patients represent missed revenue and care opportunities. With this feature, you’re able to:

  • See the exact value of overdue consults
  • Re-engage inactive patients
  • Increase monthly turnover without additional ad spend

đź§ą How does it work?

When you click on Overdue Consults, Ocumail displays a breakdown of:

  • Patients who haven't had a consult in over 2 years (or other timeframes)
  • The estimated revenue opportunity if those patients were to return

If you scroll down the page, you’ll find the names and details of the patients identified in the list.

To take action:

  1. Click Send Mailer

  1. You’ll be redirected to the Ocumarketing tab and from there, you can build and send a targeted reactivation campaign

(Pro tip: Be sure to check in with your CRM if you need help targeting or personalizing your campaign.)


📊 Example

If you have 150 patients who haven’t returned in 2+ years, and your average consult is valued at R2,500, that represents a potential revenue opportunity of R375,000 ready to be tapped through targeted outreach.
